Paul Scholes was left red-faced and unleashed a flurry of expletives after hilariously misunderstanding a question in the latest Manchester United podcast.
The club legend featured alongside current star Marcus Rashford and was asked for his opinion on who the best player the 22-year-old has played with is.
But Scholes reacted with confusion after it was pointed out he had mistakenly chosen his ex-team-mate Ruud van Nistelrooy, with both Rashford and the other presenters failing to contain their laughter.
The club legend unleashed a flurry of expletives when confronted by his error by presenters
In the new edition of the club's podcast during lockdown, Scholes revealed the extent of the Dutch ace's obsession with scoring goals - but had ultimately failed to grasp the original question.
Instead of selecting a star who has previously featured in the same team as Rashford, Scholes opted for the former Old Trafford servant.
And after discovering his anecdote was entirely unrelated to what he had been asked, the 45-year-old became visibly flustered on camera.
Much to the amusement of his colleagues, Scholes fired back: 'Why'd you let me say all that then? F*** sake.'

Sam Homewood, who also regularly features on ITV, admitted that he hadn't stopped Scholes because he was enjoying hearing the tale.
The presenter then clarified, saying: 'He's picked players that you've played with, and you've been picking players that he's played with.'
Scholes placed his head in his hands before apologising for his mistake, with Rashford filmed grinning.
But the hot-headed ex-midfielder was able to exact his revenge soon after, due to Homewood incorrectly stating that Rashford has played alongside new signing Bruno Fernandes.
The 45-year-old also revealed his admiration for the United striker in the club's latest podcast
Scholes jokingly retorted, saying: 'Wake up Sam, f*** sake!'
Away from his podcast embarrassment, Scholes previously revealed his admiration for the young United ace.
'Sometimes I would go to games and just watch him, and not really watch where the ball was,' he said. 'I'd look for his movement - is he clever enough to have that link with a midfield player? I think he has that.'
